Our Extreme WeatherPlus™ Add-ons are an upgrade to our standard cases, which we've sold for 30+ years. We still sell our wide selection of styles and sizes without the enhancements below, but in some extreme locations, these upgrades help best accommodate local weather challenges. Below are the upgrades we include;
- Drip-Edge Roof
The thin aluminum roof has a slight bend at the end to help prevent water from entering through the door or hinges when closed. The roof includes high-bond adhesive tape to install on top of the metal cabinet. When mounting and installing the WeatherPlus™ case, you can choose whether to add the protective roof or leave it off. You can always install it later or remove it altogether after the initial installation. - Rubber Gaskets
One of the bigger enhancements is the installed rubber gaskets placed on the inside perimeter of the door cavity. Though not waterproof or 100% watertight, it greatly mitigates water from entering the case. - Side Vents
Fin-style vents are placed on both sides of the case. This allows the upper portion of the case to release any condensation buildup and lets airflow help provide a clear view of the contents inside. - Additional Weep Holes
In addition to the side Fin Vents, we also provide 4 weep holes at the bottom of the case, which allow any condensation or possible water buildup to release easily. The bottom holes are positioned slightly in front of and behind the backer board for maximum breathability. - Forbo™ Cork Bulletin Board
Offered in 15+ Colors, this cork board is self-healing, will not crumble, and is constructed to hold up in most weather conditions. Forbo is made from natural, renewable raw materials. A combination of oxidized linseed oil, rosin, and finely ground cork gives this bulletin board its flexibility and resilience. This combination results in a product with exceptional durability & a sustainable footprint. Its strength and resilience make it ideal for pin boards, notice boards, and other surfaces where ideas and information are exchanged. - Hanging Brackets- for Wall Mount
When drilling holes through the backer board, water can seep into the back of the case. As an option, we've included top and bottom metal hanging brackets to help avoid this. You can still drill through the backer board, but these brackets provide an alternative mounting method.
IMPORTANT: Whichever way you decide to mount the case, apply a clear silicone sealant around the perimeter of the back of the case and around any holes drilled directly into the metal cabinet.
- Post Dimensions: 2" x 2" x 96" (8 Feet High)
- Posts are attached to the case through the sides. Pre-drilled holes will be provided on the posts for easy display case mounting
- Posts should be secured at least 3 feet into the ground for proper support.

- The viewable area can decrease by 1/2" or the overall size can be increased by 1/2".
*For outdoor poster cases being built for landscape orientation, the following information below will apply.
- The hinge placement will always be on Top (Door Swings Upward)
- Prop arms will be added to the unit to support and hold the door.
- The prop arms will extend the door open at approximately 45 degrees.
Description
We received positive feedback for our more robust and more protected weatherproof outdoor display cases, Extreme WeatherPlus™ Bulletin Boards, to meet the challenges of exterior environments that deal with extreme and harsher weather conditions. Here are the design details:
- Drip-Edge Aluminum Roof is supplied with adhesive tape to be installed directly onto the top of the cabinet. You can add the roof overhang when installing once the bulletin board cabinet is wall mounted. The slight overhang has proven to push dripping water away from susceptible areas where water can find its way into the case.
- FORBO Bulletin Board backer is a self-healing cork constructed to withstand crumbling and reduce water absorption and color fading from direct sunlight. This board is a much-improved option over traditional cork backing and comes in 15+ Colors.
- Side Vents added towards the top sides of the aluminum cabinet help reduce any condensation build up.
- Additional Weep Holes on the bottom of the case help reduce and release humidity, condensation, and any water build-up accumulated from any trapped air.
- Rubber Gaskets are placed on the inside door cavity to create a seal and help mitigate most water from coming in due to wind-forced rains.

This product is warranted against all defects in material or workmanship for a period of ONE YEAR from the date of the original purchase. This warranty does not cover replacement due to customer misuse or abuse.
Products found defective in material or workmanship within this period of time will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of the manufacturer. The customer must return the defective product, prepaid, for examination and inspection. Once repaired or replaced, outbound shipping costs will be incurred and charged to the customer.
Limitations
The manufacturer is not responsible for repair or replacement of product(s) subjected to abuse, unintended use, or impairment caused as a result of the following:
- Unauthorized repairs, accident, alteration, misuse, neglect, fire, flood, or product impairment resulting from wide-ranging field wear and tear, such as chips or tarnish over time.
- Altered, modified, misused, vandalized, or improperly installed products.
Please email our customer service team for an RMA (return authorization) number. We will not accept returns for warranty-related issues without this authorization.
Return & Exchange Policy
Customer satisfaction is our top priority. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are missing any parts or products in your shipment, notify us within 30 DAYS of receipt of the order. If you need to return or exchange the item, please contact us within 30 DAYS of receiving your purchase. Items must be returned new, unused, and resalable, in their original box/packaging. This product is subject to a restocking fee if returned for any reason other than damage. Upon proof of return shipping and inspection of the item, we will issue a credit, less a 30% restock fee and any outbound shipping costs incurred by Access Display Group Inc. You are responsible for arranging the return shipment to our production facility. Any customized product or order over $ 2,500 is non-returnable.

For locations without a 48" high loading dock. Two person delivery. Truck used for delivery will have a Lift-Gate used to lower the shipment to ground level. Shipment will be moved inside to a specific location. Please ensure that all doors and pathways are large enough for the product(s) ordered. Shipment will be unpacked and packing materials will be removed. Delivery by appointment.
How is my total delivery time determined?
The total delivery time for your order is calculated from the time your order is placed until the time you receive it. The diagram below shows how the Total Delivery Time is broken down into Lead Time to Ship and Shipping Time.
Lead Time is the time it takes from when you submit your order to when the product leaves the warehouse. This time is needed for products that are shipped to you directly from us or our vendors.The manufacturers need this time to fulfill your order and in some cases, custom build the product.
Shipping Time is measured from when your order leaves the warehouse to when it arrives at your building, office or home. The shipping time will vary depending on the service you choose. Typically standard freight ground service will take up to 7-10 business days, but your order may arrive sooner depending where the order is being shipped from and where it's shipping to.
